REFLECTION

Psst -- hey -- com'ere. I've got a secret to tell you…
Sometimes prospects will stall you, sometimes they will lie to you, sometimes they won't tell you the real reason they won't purchase. When a prospect gives you some lame excuse (stall) about why they won't buy now, he's really saying, "not yet."
There are two basic types of stalls. People stalls and thing stalls.
Thing stalls are when prospects say -- I'm too busy now, your price is too high, I have too many other obligations.
Frustrati…

CHANGE BEGINS WITH CHOICE
by Jim Rohn
Any day we wish; we can discipline ourselves to change it all. Any day we wish; we can open the book that will open our mind to new knowledge. Any day we wish; we can start a new activity. Any day we wish; we can start the process of life change. We can do it immediately, or next week, or next month, or next year.
We can also do nothing. We can pretend rather than perform. And if the idea of having to change ourselves makes us uncomfortable, we can remain…

Ajita asked: "What is it that smothers the world and makes it so hard to see? What is it that pollutes the world and seems to threaten it?" The Buddha answered: "It is ignorance that smothers, and it is carelessness and greed that make it invisible. The hunger of craving pollutes the world, and the pain of suffering causes the greatest fear."
- Sutta Nipata

There is a very famous Sufi story.
An emperor was coming out of his palace for his morning walk when he met a
beggar. He asked the beggar, "What do you want?"
The beggar laughed and said, "You are asking as if you can fulfill my desire!"
The king was offended. He said, "Of course I can fulfill your desire. What
is it? You just tell me."
And the beggar said, "Think twice before you promise anything."
The beggar was no ordinary beggar, he was the emperor's past-life Master.
And he had prom…

OUR WORLD
What is our world made up of, who makes our world? People around us whom we care for and who love us or just everyone living around us. Let’s look into the matter and find out...
When we are born we look up to our parents for everything, all our needs and desires are fulfilled by them whether material or emotional so our parents mean the world to us, everything revolves around them and we know they will not let us down in any way, many expectations we have from them, and we take them f…

Our society
Today we are living in a modern society but how modern is it? Rules for everyone are decided by this society which we live in... Let us start with a daughter and a son in the same family who are bought up differently. A son is considered to be the more superior and the stronger one and a daughter is supposed to be the more protected one, which is justified whereas in today’s society girls want to make their own identity and also want the same freedom as boys like late night parties l…

FEAR
Fear is all around us, unlimited fears which are internal like fear of being alone, loneliness, being abandoned, fear of losing our loved ones and external like materialistic fears and fear of height, darkness, water and above all fear of death.
Fear has become a part of our being, many of us have the fear of being attacked, going out in crowds and with so many unpleasant incidents taking place all around, so many terrorist attacks and bomb blasts, some unavoidable circumstances like reces…

Radhe Krishna To All,
Ramakrishna Says, when a pumpkin is cut at home, a seed or two spill out into the garden without our knowledge. One fine day, we see a nice pumpkin creeper in the garden. In the same way, Nama Kirtan, whether done knowingly or unknowingly, certainly has to give its effect. All these Mahans stressed just this fact.
Today we see that Swami Vivekananda has glorified the Hindu religion all over the world. No doubt Sri Ramakrishna's penance had been the reason for this. But wh…

I wrote this February 2007 before I really knew how to handle my own emotional pain in a positive constructive manner. I just read a post from Amit on
Understanding Forgiveness and it reminded me of this message in a bottle. The letter was not written to actually be read - it was written to FREE ME from the shackles of anger, bitterness, fear, pain, hurt ... It allows me to begin livi…

O Govinda... Yes, this is again about our art studio building. Thank You so much
we stayed at least as long so that we all
could participate in
the Open Studio Days in our neighbourhood that would be known
for its many artists staying and working there. For myself this event had
not been unsuccessful at all and although I have the smallest studio
in the building, I could receive eight people altogether simultaneously
and about 200 people visited my studio during the one day I was there an…

Divorce is hard on everyone. Sometimes we forget how hard it can be on animals.
Our son and his wife divorced a few years ago. Many of us in the family were devastated, including Missy and Dena. Missy is our Dandi Dinmont Terrier. Dena, a Rat Terrier, belonged to our son's family. Though the dogs are both terriers, they looked and acted nothing alike. The only similarity was that they both came from homes where they were loved like a member of the family.
Dena had been my son's dog, but when t…

Life can only be understood backward but it must be lived forward.
~Soren Kierkegaard
In our home it was natural to fear our father. Even our mother was afraid of him. As children, my sister and I thought every family was like that. Every family had an unpredictable dad who was impossible to please and a praying mama who was there to protect the children. We thought God planned it that way.
We were good children. Mama was always telling us we were, even if Daddy couldn't see it. Part of this w…

Two frogs fell down a well. A group of frogs gathered to watch, and they yelled down at the frogs, "You'll never get back up!" One of the frogs became discouraged and gave up and drowned. The other frog kept jumping and eventually got out of the well. The frogs that had been watching asked, "Why did you keep trying when we told you you'd never make it?" The frog replied, "Oh, I thought they were words of encouragement!"
My mom told me that story after the doctors determined that I had osteosarc…
