ABOUT the July 7 Full Moon Lunar Eclispse

Article exerpts from Soluntra King

A Lunar Eclipse is when the Sun and Moon are opposite with the Earth in between, a Penumbral Eclipse is when the Moon passes through the penumbral which is the outside area of the shadow.

Lunar eclipses are working more on the emotions, inner and hidden aspects, you will be able to go deep not only into your own psyche and centre but work with the Councils of Light in holding the Divine Source/light portals world wide in oneness and unity. Creating higher dimensional zones where duality has been playing out. This is not about changing, controlling or judging but merely being the anchor you truly are and holding the higher frequencies as we move beyond the illusion.

This eclipse is illuminating us from within and bringing clarity to see and be our higher self/inner self and work in the bigger picture. If you feel stuck look at your life from yourself as a Light Being and laugh and lighten up.

Also be aware that everyone in your life is there in a bigger picture sense as well. Ask permission on the inner planes if you are allowed to be shown who they really are, and your mission together from the bigger picture and greater reality. This will help to shift a lot of the old patterns and dramas that are no longer appropriate and be in a peaceful loving space with everyone.

THE ENERGIES IN BETWEEN ECLIPSES CAN BE VERY INTENSE

This time we have three Eclipses: Lunar July 7th, Solar July 22nd and Lunar August 6th. So try and do physical exercise everyday if possible to help the energies move through you and be aware of the Bigger Picture. If possible spend time at a vortex and just be with the Earth and multi-dimensional energies in a state of allowing and peace.

Have a Blessed Full Moon

we will see the solar eclipse here in Japan July 22nd. We plan to play music on a remote beach at the southern tip of Japan. I will teach some yoga in the morning and enjoy being with family and friends. My girlfriends husband is from rural mountain India. A Nepali man from a very very poor and difficult up bringing. He is afraid to go out and see the eclipse on that day and says it brings harm. Does anybody know why this is so superstitious for some people, and why so for the poor or un educated where as the scientifuc minds and modern people celbrate and study such a phenomena....
an inquiery into the soul and how we perceive things is quite different from person to person, culture to culture.

Eclipses have been powerful mysteries since ancient times. We average four eclipses during a year. Two of those are solar and they coincide with the New Moon. Two are lunar, when the Earth is directly between the Sun and the Moon and its shadow obscures the Moon. The eclipses work together -- two weeks pass between a solar and a lunar eclipse and they occur about six months apart.

During an eclipse of the Moon, some tribes of the Orinoco used to bury lighted brands in the ground; because, said they, if the Moon were to be extinguished, all fire on earth would be extinguished with her, except such as was hidden from her sight.
--Sir James George Frazer, The Golden Bough

Eclipses affect world events. Princess Diana, who shares the name of the Moon goddess, is a contemporary feminine mythic figure. Major events happened in her life during eclipses -- her marriage, the birth of one of her children (William), her divorce, and her death.

We are affected on a global level by eclipses. Astrologically, not much is known about the effects of eclipses. Strangely, few people are born during eclipses.

But the date of an eclipse that precedes your birth can be significant throughout your life -- you may even notice an annual influence. It's called a pre-natal eclipse and it tends to portend a subtle, not a major event. These may be external events or reflective internal ones, like decisions that signal life changes to follow.

Thank you for this information...I think there is another lunar eclipse in August and of course the solar eclipse July 22nd. I happen to live in southern Japan and will be able to see it. Is there a tradition of not going out to see the solar eclipse? Our scientific and curious modern mind enjoys witnissing such cosmological events, where as traditional cultures have taboos. My friends husband who is of Nepali origin but from an very poor and uneducatd background fears the eclipse beleiving it is bad for one's spirit. One comment I read on a new age site is that the eclipse asks us to look within ourselves for our inner light. Holding firm to the essence of who we are and not to be swayed by negative attitudes and influences. Perhaps this is so. I imagine it is a kind of rebirth, a small void in the course of the sun and moons illumination. Just as there is sometimes a silence between the ebb and flow of the waves in the sea, so there must be in the light of the sun and moon. Ad niente...out of silence will the light return.

Namaste,
Thank you for this post.
We have 3 eclipses in one month and this is not an usual event. Two moon eclipses and one solar eclipse.
Because the moon eclipses are only partial and Solar eclipse is total, it means this is the most important and we should focus on this one.
Below are some advices for Solar eclipse time (22nd July 2009):

Solar Eclipse has given a lot of importance in Hinduism. At the time of the eclipse, people are suggested to bathe in the sacred rivers. They should do charitable acts. They should donate cows, money and gold. One is suggested not not to take food during the eclipse. One should take food only after seeing the sun free from the eclipse. Pregnant women are advised not to see the eclipse otherwise the child born may have some kind of defect. Householders are forbidden from sexual intercourse on the day of the eclipse, for the same reason. Eclipse time is also considered very auspicious for sadhana (spiritual practice).

I hope it helps.
