WHEN A LIZARD CAN, WHY CAN'T WE?


This is a true story that happened in Japan.

In order to renovate the house, a man teared open the walls since Japanese houses have a hollow space between the wooden walls.

Behind one of the walls, he found lizard stuck to the inner wall because a nail was hammered into one of its feet from the outside.

Seeing it he felt pity and was at the same time curious. The lizard was nailed 2 years ago when the house was first built. But how did the lizard survive in such position for 2 years? How did it live in the dark wall partition for 2 years without moving since its foot was nailed? It was impossible to survive in such circumstances. It was mind-boggling.

So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it had been doing, and what it had been eating.

Later, from nowhere, appeared another lizard, with food in its mouth.

Ah! Now it made sense. He was stunned and touched deeply.

Another lizard had been feeding it for the past 2 years...

Just imagine that. It has been feeding the nailed lizard untiringly for 2 long years, without giving up hope on its partner.

When a small creature can do that, why can't a creature blessed with a
brilliant mind do the same?
